Overview

About this service

A walk-in wardrobe should be planned like a small room rather than a big cupboard. We start by counting what goes into it — long hanging, short hanging, folded items, shoes, bags and accessories — then zone the space so each has a dedicated home at the right height. Corners are joined properly instead of being lost, and every run is built to your ceiling height to use the full volume of the room.

Finishes range from handleless open bays with lit shelving to glass-fronted cabinets that keep dust off a collection. Options include island units with drawers, pull-out trouser rails and valet rods, jewellery drawers with velvet inserts, full-length mirrors and sensor-controlled LED lighting that comes on as you walk in. Soft close runs throughout, and everything is made to measure in the UK.

Design Options

Styles we build most

A starting point rather than a menu — most projects borrow from more than one of these, and every option comes in over 200 colours and finishes.

01

Open Boutique

Handleless open bays with lit rails and shelving, so the room reads like a private boutique.

02

Glass Fronted

Framed glass doors that display a collection while keeping dust off it — often paired with internal lighting.

03

Closed & Calm

Full-height doors that hide everything behind a single quiet face, ideal within a master suite.

04

Island Dressing Room

Perimeter storage with a central island for drawers, folded items and a seating or dressing surface.

Our Process

From first visit to finished room

The same six stages apply to every project we take on, whatever its size.

01

Free Consultation

We talk through what is not working in the room, what you want it to do, and the finishes you are drawn to. No charge and no obligation.

02

Survey & Measure

A designer measures the space properly — walls, angles, services and floor levels — because made to measure only works from real dimensions.

03

Design & Quotation

You receive a layout, your choice of finishes and an all-inclusive written quote. We revise the design with you until it is right.

04

UK Manufacturing

Once the design is signed off, your furniture is manufactured in the UK to your exact measurements and finish specification.

05

Installation

Our own in-house fitters install everything, scribe it to your walls, protect your home as they work and clear away afterwards.

06

Sign-Off & Guarantee

We walk the finished project with you, adjust anything that needs it, and hand over your 7-year guarantee certificate.

Walk In Wardrobe FAQs

Common questions, answered

Less than people expect. A single-sided run with a clear walkway works in a narrow box room, and a two-sided layout becomes comfortable once you can keep a walkway between the runs. We confirm what your room supports at survey.

Yes, where the floor area allows enough circulation space around it. The island can carry drawers, folded shelving and a stone or timber top, finished to match the perimeter runs.

Usually by motion sensor as you walk in, or by door-triggered switches on individual bays. Both are wired in during installation and can be dimmed.

It can, and sloping ceilings are no obstacle. We build the runs to the angle of the roof line, putting hanging where the head height allows and drawers or shoe storage under the lowest part.
