Overview

About this service

Wall panelling is the quickest way to give a flat, featureless room some architecture. We design and manufacture decorative wall features to the proportions of your space — setting out rail heights against your skirting, cornice and door casings so the panels look original to the house rather than applied to it. Everything is cut and finished in our UK workshop and installed by our own team.

The range runs from classic Georgian and Victorian panelling to contemporary vertical fluting, slatted acoustic timber and geometric designs. Panels can be finished in any of our 200+ colours, in woodgrain veneers, or supplied primed and ready for your decorator. Concealed lighting can be run into the design to graze the surface and pick up its texture after dark.

What's Included

Everything in your quotation

One all-inclusive price covering the design, the furniture and the installation — itemised in writing before any work begins.

Proportion set-out

Panel heights and widths drawn against your existing skirting, cornice, sockets and door casings.

Workshop-cut panelling

Mouldings and panels machined to size in the UK, so joints close tightly on site instead of being filled.

Finish of your choice

Sprayed in any of our 200+ colours, supplied in woodgrain, or primed ready for your own decorator.

Integrated lighting

Optional concealed LED grazing or picture lighting wired into the design during installation.

Socket & switch detailing

Panels cut neatly around existing electrics, with plates realigned so nothing lands awkwardly on a moulding.

Installation & finishing

Fixed, filled and caulked by our fitters, left ready for decoration or fully finished if sprayed.

Design Options

Styles we build most

A starting point rather than a menu — most projects borrow from more than one of these, and every option comes in over 200 colours and finishes.

01

Georgian Panelling

Framed rectangular panels with a dado or picture rail — formal, symmetrical and suited to period rooms.

02

Vertical Fluting

Half-round or square reeded profiles run floor to ceiling for a clean, contemporary rhythm.

03

Slatted Timber

Spaced timber battens on a dark backing that add warmth and soften sound in hard-surfaced rooms.

04

Geometric

Chevron, herringbone and grid layouts for a single statement wall behind a bed or dining table.

Our Process

From first visit to finished room

The same six stages apply to every project we take on, whatever its size.

01

Free Consultation

We talk through what is not working in the room, what you want it to do, and the finishes you are drawn to. No charge and no obligation.

02

Survey & Measure

A designer measures the space properly — walls, angles, services and floor levels — because made to measure only works from real dimensions.

03

Design & Quotation

You receive a layout, your choice of finishes and an all-inclusive written quote. We revise the design with you until it is right.

04

UK Manufacturing

Once the design is signed off, your furniture is manufactured in the UK to your exact measurements and finish specification.

05

Installation

Our own in-house fitters install everything, scribe it to your walls, protect your home as they work and clear away afterwards.

06

Sign-Off & Guarantee

We walk the finished project with you, adjust anything that needs it, and hand over your 7-year guarantee certificate.

Decor Wall FAQs

Common questions, answered

Yes. Where a wall is out of true we batten and pack behind the panels so the finished face is flat and plumb, which is difficult to achieve with peel-and-stick or DIY kits.

You can have it either way. Panels can arrive sprayed in your chosen colour, or primed and caulked ready for your own decorator to finish on site.

We survey their positions first and set the panel layout around them, cutting neatly to plates and returns rather than running a moulding through the middle of a socket.

It is one of the most popular places for it. We rake the panel set-out to follow the stair string so the lines stay parallel with the flight all the way up.
